While the world is busy fighting the Covid-19 outbreak, let’s not lose sight of the long-standing climate crisis at hand!
This April, let’s take a look at What Singapore Thinks of climate change.
Serious or not?
To get things started, we set out and asked how big of a problem do Singaporeans think climate change is.
1 in 5 Singaporeans believe that climate change is a very serious issue, and 84% of Singaporeans think that it is at least a somewhat serious problem for our little red dot!
What are some of the impacts that worry us the most?
Topping Singaporeans’ list of concerns is the increase in daily temperatures. The global warming trend is increasingly disrupting our climate and it seems like our sunny island might be getting a little too hot for our liking!
Actions to fight Climate Change!
32% of Singaporeans feel that climate change is caused by humans – which largely holds true.
However, even though global warming is an effect of human activities, it is still not too late for us to adapt to reduce its negative impacts!
It is encouraging to see that majority of Singaporeans are mindful about saving electricity and water. These good habits can certainly help reduce global warming! Let’s help slow down climate change by implementing more sustainable actions within our community – no matter how small they may seem to be.
Everything we do today makes a difference in our tomorrow!
